Monsta

He is one of the 8 characters that are playable from the start of the game. He does not appear in the Story Mode as he has no role in the plot.

Pulplu

Pulplu can be found at SKULL CAVE which can be reached by asking Bob if it was Pulplu that chased him into DARK FOREST.  He works for Dreg, and once Bub defeats him he worries that Pulplu will rush away to DREG'S CASTLE to warn him.

Hidegonz

He is one of the 8 characters playable from the start of the game. He has no place in the story and as such does not appear in story mode. He is a reasonably strong character.

Zen-Chan

Zen-Chan is one of the 8 characters playable from the start of the game. He has no place in the storyline and as such, does not appear in story mode.

Dreg

The main villain of the story can be found at DREG'S CASTLE. He is responsible for all this chaos. He stole the magical Golden Bubble that keeps the peace in BUBBLE WORLD and it is now up to Bub to chase him down and bring it back. He is tough and the chase puzzle before him even more tough. Prepare.

Banebou

Banebou is one of the 8 playable characters from the very start of the game. He has no role in the story mode of the game, and is a decent character to play as.

Maita

Maita is one of Dreg's henchmen, and he can be found at GHOST TOWER. This is reached by

telling Marino "Yes I Can" when he asks if you can swim, or by asking Bob if it was Maita that chased him into DARK FOREST.  He seems loyal to Dreg, and refuses to let you pass unless you beat him.

Super Sonic Blastman

Bub encounters SSB at HERO LAND, which can be reached by telling Bubble Hermit "I Still Need Training" after defeating Chun-Chun at PUZZLE DOJO. SSB tells Bub he wants a punching match, and enjoys the idea of two men punching each other as hard as possible. Luckily, they have a Puzzle Bobble match instead.

Develon

Develon is encountered by Bub on his quest at MT. SPIRAL. It can be reached by telling Marino "No I Can't" when he asks if you can swim, or taking the RIGHT PATH at HERO LAND after defeating Super Sonic Blastman. He is out to defeat Bub, and cares nothing for Bub's quest or what Dreg has done.

Packy

Packy is the third and final student of Bubble Hermit, and Bub can battle him by TRIAL GATE, which can be reached by taking the LEFT PATH at HERO LAND after defeating Super Sonic Blastman.  He is a robotic cat with the ability to remove its head, and first met Bub way back in Puzzle Bobble 2.

Marino

You can find Marino at SECRET LAKE. You can get there by either choosing "Of Course I Have" at PUZZLE DOJO  or "Of Course I Will Beat Him" when Tam-Tam asks. When Bub meets him, Marino believes Bub is responsible for messing up his lake the day before, and then mistakes him for being Dreg.

Tam-Tam

Tam-Tam is encountered in WILD OF FOSSIL, which can be reached from STARTING ROAD by taking the RIGHT PATH. The ancient, wise totem wishes to battle with Bub to test his strength and afterwards, believes that Bub will be strong enough to defeat Dreg.

Chack'n

Chack'n is the pupil of Bubble Hermit, and is found at the beginning of the story on STARTING ROADHe is the first character you will have to battle, and is not too difficult.

Chun-Chun

Chun-Chun is another one of Bubble Hermit's students, as Bub describes her, a trainee. This is interesting, since Chun-Chun was actually one of the tougher opponents in Puzzle Bobble 2. Bub will encounter her at PUZZLE DOJO if he takes the LEFT PATH at STARTING ROAD.

Puzzle Bobble Millennium (AKA Bust-A-Move Millennium) is an anniversary game of sorts celebrating all previous Puzzle Bobble titles. It was released exclusively for the Nintendo Game Boy Color, which was an unusual but unique decision and featured what is probably the best story mode of any Puzzle Bobble game to date and a large cast of characters from previous games.

As it's title suggests, it was released in 2000 (the new Millennium) and follows the core mechanics established by Puzzle Bobble 4.

Puzzle Bobble Millennium

Bob

He is the quiter, younger brother of Bub and in the storyline, he has been missing for days. Bub finds him in the DARK FOREST , which can be reached by choosing "Can I Really Beat Him?" when Tam-Tam asks. Bob is afraid and claims he was chased into the Dark Forest by either Pulplu or Maita.

Bub

Bub is the hero of the main story and he embarks on a quest to bring back the magical GOLDEN BUBBLE that has been stolen by Dreg.

Characters

Bust-a-Move Millennium has a huge cast of characters when compared to previous games in the series.  They are all characters from previous games in the series and some get to meet for the very first (and last!) time in this game. A lot of these characters are hidden at first, and must be unlocked by taking certain paths in the story mode. Let's take a look at who is here.
